To renew an item online, you simply visit our website and click on the “Online Catalogue” button on the Home page to access your account.
Click on the “Online Catalogue” link on the main page of our website.
You can then do a search for an item you are looking for, renew any items you have out on loan or place a reserve on an item.


BOOKS: We offer both fiction and non- fiction books.

DVDS We have a large collection of DVDS (movies, documentaries and television series).
MAGAZINES: We have a variety of magazines on every subject from home repair to fashion, celebrities and technology.

LARGE PRINT BOOKS: Do you prefer a book with larger type? Check out our great selection of “Large Print Books”.

AUDIO BOOKS (BOOKS ON CD): Do you spend a lot of time traveling or planning a long trip? Check out our collection of Books on CD.

INTERNET/COMPUTERS: Struggling with slow connections with your computer at home?

We offer computers with high-speed internet available for the public.
We also have laptops that are available for use within the library if you do not have your own. You can also bring in your own devices to access our free WiFi.
e-BOOKS/AUDIO BOOKS ONLINE: We offer e-Books and Audio Books through OVERDRIVE @

BOOKS2GO Home Delivery Service: We offer “Books2Go” home delivery service to our library patrons. We deliver books to people who are confined to their home, or are dealing with health issues and may not have the ability to come to the Library. Please call Theresa for more information.


If we do not have an item that you are looking for, we will do our best to borrow it from another Library through our Inter-Library Loan program.

There is no charge for this service. Simply contact the Library for more information.


On the main level of our library we are proud of our Art Gallery.
Our volunteers, Liz Coxwell, Jean Kane, Karin Cronin-Boyle and Lisa Nicholas coordinate and organize the displays. Artists are provided the opportunity each month to display their artwork for public viewing. Drop by and see the talented artists that reside in Stirling and area.


For over 20 years, the library has hosted a preschool (ages newborn to 5 yrs) reading group.

This group, which is run by the parents, meets every Wednesday from 10:30am-noon during
the school year. Each week the stories and crafts are based upon a different theme.

If you are a tax payer in the municipality of Stirling-Rawdon, or if you own property and pay taxes in Stirling-Rawdon, there is no charge to join our library. Contact the Library for more information.

If you live outside of the above locations, there is a $60 annual non-resident fee.

To obtain a membership, simply drop by the library with one form of identification that shows your address and/or tax bill and our library staff will be pleased to register you.


Overdue Fines are 20¢ per day, per item.

Once an overdue reaches $5.00, the patron’s account is temporarily suspended until the fine is paid.You can call and renew an item by phone.

There is an answering machine where you may leave a message after hours. 613-395-2837

You may also go online and login to your account on the online catalogue and renew your items.


Patrons who borrow items from our library are responsible for returning the item undamaged.

If a patron loses or damages an item, the librarian will notify the patron of the costs involved in replacing the item.
If a patron pays for an item that has been lost, but then later locates it, the funds they paid will not be refunded.


We have computers available with Highspeed Internet access, as well as laptops for use within the Library. Patrons under the age of 14 are required to have a parent/guardian’s permission slip signed to use the public internet stations.
The computers are available on a first come- first-serve basis.
Our WiFi is password protected. You may obtain the password from staff.



Do you like to share and discuss books with others? If so, the Library has a  Library Book Club. This club  meets the first Thursday of the month from 1-2:30pm. The difference with our book clubs is that not everyone reads the same book. You read whichever book you like and then will be provided the opportunity to discuss it at the meeting. There are also are a number of independent Book Clubs in the Stirling-Rawdon area. Please contact the Library for more information on these groups!
